Nature's Dryer

I love hanging out my wash. This is my new clothesline that my neighbor built for me. My line has become more than just a place to hang clothes. The children like to come out to the line to talk to me. I have named these the clothesline chats. It really is a special time. When I hang out my clothes, which is nearly everyday, I wear my clothespin apron from Ada's Adorable Aprons. I feel just like "Susie Homemaker". The apron matches everything I wear, including my gown early in the mornings!!! Everyone needs one of her aprons. If you do not have a clothesline, then you need to get one just to wear the aprons

Mr. Douglas????

Children are truly easily entertained and fascinated. This is my son, the comedian on vacation. The beach house we rented had an outdoor shower complete with hot water. This was such a treat for him. He pretended that he was Mr. Douglas on Green Acres. He has requested an outdoor shower like this at home. I think it is a great idea. It would surely decrease the scrubbing I have to do in the bathroom!!!

This is my "tribe". From left to right: My fashion queen, my comedian and my equestrian. I made the outfit the fashion queen is wearing, as well as the top that the equestrian is wearing. This picture was made in Charleston S.C. at the Battery, with Ft. Sumpter in the background. I would love to take my wares to the Open Air Market in Charleston.

Ribbons -n- Rags

Ribbons -n- Rags is my line of little girls' handmade clothing (I have been known to make little boys' outfits as well). I enjoy working with ribbons, buttons, applique and challenging the imagination. I love cotton fabrics as they are so comfortable and such classics. It is my hope that your precious little one enjoys wearing these clothes as much as I enjoy making them.
